Congratulations to Knighthawks goaltender Matt Vinc on winning NLL Player of the Year for the Inside Lacrosse LAXIES awards!
From what I’ve seen, he’s an amazing player. He deserves this award.
College students: what do you say? Could an iPad replace a laptop? Are you already using a tablet instead? Why - or why not?
Honestly, it’ll depend on a lot of things, but yes, in the right circumstances, it can replace a laptop.
You’ll have to look into where there is access to wifi on your campus, and then see how reliable it is. On a related note, you’ll have to see what kind of system your school uses for printing. Ours happens to be all online, and you can thus do it from a tablet, but we used to have a different system. If you want to use your own wifi printer, you’ll have to make sure that your school allows it to create its own network to connect to. Our school does not allow this.
The other major thing that you’ll have to look into is whether or not the app selection available for tablets is sufficient for your needs. Are you a dickhead that thinks that you can only write papers in Microsoft Word? An iPad won’t get the job done. Are you somebody that needs a full photoshop app for your major, or hardcore CAD software? That’s not available on your iPad yet. However, if you’re someone that doesn’t need access to that everywhere you go, and can settle for only using said software in campus computer labs, then an iPad will absolutely get the job done.
It really all comes down to personal choice.
Why do they break these beautiful pieces of engineering?
Google+: Beautiful movies, made auto awesomely
Okay, so this feature could actually be really nice for things like road trips, but it’s not going to make me run out and buy an android device nor will it make me want to use google+.
Or every night class I’ve taken.
Or just trying to stay awake in general…
