Star Wars Themed Character Cases For iPhone 5

Yes. Just Yes. If someone got me one of these I might have to trade them my soul.

They could release a revolutionary 60-inch 4K TV for $99 with built-in nanobots to assemble and dispense free smartwatches, and people would complain that it should cost $49 and the nanobots aren’t open enough.

Marco Arment, correctly calling out the current pessimism surrounding Apple in the press (and on Wall Street) while also arguing for an “iPhone 6” moniker for the next iPhone — or really anything but the “iPhone 5S”. (via parislemon)

This. But, no, seriously, this. Read it. Think about it. Is it not the most truthful thing that you’ve read today?

Okay, so this has to happen. Feel free to ignore whilst I geek out.

Same old tech media song and dance.
And if you remember, 3 months later, Microsoft killed it before ever launching it.

It happens.
And everyone will claim that the android powered watch has more and better features than the apple version, and is thus more innovative.
Even though apple innovated, and Samsung copied.

Apple's Proposed Wireless Charging Smart Cover

parislemon:

Mikey Campbell of AppleInsider looks at a newly-unveiled patent filed by Apple:

Instead of sourcing power from a stationary dock, Apple’s invention calls for a tablet case, or more specifically an iPad Smart Cover, to hold the inductive power transmitter. In some embodiments, an internal battery is disposed within the case, basically creating an “on-the-go” wireless charger.

That’s a good idea. Hope it happens.

This would be truly awesome.

…Or maybe it’s the growing sentiment that Android itself is finally getting closer to iOS/iPhone and maybe even surpassing it in some ways.

Of course… we seem to hear that every year. Gingerbread was going to be the version of Android that was better than iOS. Then it was going to be Honeycomb (Android tablets were finally going to take off!). Then Ice Cream Sandwich. Now Jelly Bean. Later this year, we’ll hear the same about Key Lime Pie (or whatever it will be called).

Our teacher didn’t come to class today so we spent the first twenty minutes doing a seance to call the ghost of Steve Jobs.
Our offering was a bagel and all of our Apple products and we made a pentagram out of people’s laptops.

that’s me on the top right.
She forgets to mention we had a legitimate psychic in the room.

“PCs are going to be like trucks"

Steve Jobs in 2010:

“When we were an agrarian nation, all cars were trucks because that’s what you needed on the farms. Cars became more popular as cities rose, and things like power steering and automatic transmission became popular.

PCs are going to be like trucks. They are still going to be around…they are going to be one out of x people…

When I am going to write that 35-page analyst report, I am going to want my Bluetooth keyboard. That’s 1 percent of the time. The software will get more powerful. I think your vision would have to be pretty short to think these can’t grow into machines that can do more things, like editing video, graphic arts, productivity. You can imagine all of these content creation possibilities on these kind of things. Time takes care of lots of these things.”

This year, about five times as many smartphones will be shipped versus PCs, and tablets will surpass PCs for the first time. According to Jobs, the right way to look at this isn’t that mobile devices are creating a new market. It’s that mobile devices are relegating PCs to special-purpose, mostly industrial devices.

I think this is really true. There are very few times when you really need a full PC for your computing needs. We spend most of out computing time web browsing or playing games. Tablets are great for that. And especially with a full sized iPad, hooking up a full size keyboard even covers your serious typing needs. So, then, the only thing you need a PC for is hardcore gaming and hardcore computing needs, such as CAD. But tablets are really improving, and I don’t think it’ll be long before they will be able to do this. So, I feel like people will start getting a desktop and using a tablet as a mobile computer. The only reason for having the desktop would be for the larger screen, which can be nice to have.

Hmm. I’ve never had “fuck” correct to “duck” on my iPhone.
