“Why the iPhone 5 sucks:”
From a youtube video (not quoted exactly, but the ideas are the same):
“I have another smartphone, the Galaxy Note II, and it has a bigger display, so for those of us hardcore smartphone users, it’s so better that the iPhone 5 is obsolete. In fact, I just use mine as an mp3 player after I smashed my iPod. As such, I really don’t like the bigger size of it. The iPhone 4 was much better for being an mp3 because it had a smaller screen, and I only need a couple buttons when I use it as an mp3.”
“Oh, and also, it doesn’t have widgets. I mean, it has widgets here if you just pull down the notifications menu, but it doesn’t have widgets.
So, yeah, it sucks, you know. Like, it sucks.
Well, there’s your fucking problem, dude. The iPhone 5 is not meant to be used as an mp3 player, it is meant to be used as a smartphone. If I told you I only used the Note II as an mp3 player, I’d tell you about how much it sucks as well. I’d also say it sucks if I only used it for making phone calls.
And yes, it has a much smaller screen than the Note II, but that’s exactly what it’s supposed to have. It is designed to fit the thumb perfectly; it’s designed to be used one handed without issue.
Admittedly, the iPhone 5 is not optimized for intense web-browsing; a larger screen would be more optimal for that. But why is that really an issue? How much intense web browsing do you need to do on a mobile device on any given day? The iPhone 5 has a large enough screen that one can do the quick searching and what not that they need to, and call it good. If you really need to do a lot of mobile browsing, I recommend a tablet: a real tablet, not a phablet.
The iPhone 5 can also be used to play games, and frankly, the app store still has a greater number of apps than the android app store. That may change, but there are still a plethora of games available.
The iPhone 5 will also stand up better to drops that occur a lot more frequently than people would like.
You reference jail-braking the iPhone 5, and how that is great until you experience problems with the phone, and apple won’t touch it. Simple solution to that: use an un-jail-broken version of iOS 6 on the device. Apple products work great, so there is no good reason to jail-brake them.
God I hate youtube people
